Safe Space policy for all members/ work in progress?

Task: Safe Space policy for all members/ work in progress?

Assigned To:
Jim Navarro

With all the discussion of the safety aspects of the space we need to also look at creating behaviour guidelines.
I'm not talking about fixating on language or the like but being open and welcoming, yet at the same time not allowing people to fuck with other members. Please forgive my language but this is an important point.
We need make sure that is is know to all current members or future members that we will not tolerate bigotry to others in any way. This must include various other factors, such as race, sexual orientation, gender, social class, or socioeconomic status.

I propose to have guidelines much like George posted in the safety brief. We can utilize the same committee to review infractions and complaints pertaining to behaviour.

I really hope that this does not happen but we must have at least spoken about this.

Bridgewire must be a safe space for people to create in and express themselves. It will require constraint and understanding but we should not let our space skew to any become a place that is not welcoming to ALL variations inside the geek/maker/craft/DIY culture.

Let's work on this
