Pete, if you could explain what those changes are (from a user perspective) I could probably do this. Also, the site is going to move from the Bucket Brigade servers to School Factory servers soon, so we'll need coordinate on updating the DNS again. I can also take this opportunity to fix whatever seems to recently have gone wrong with SSL.

Thanks David, I logged into the site today, and it has a message saying I had successfully registered for BarCampMilwaukee6. Obviously we need to make sure it says BarCampMilwaukee7 everywhere. Also, the contact form sends mail to people who are no longer involved in organizing things... how do we change that?

We need to clear out/archive the old sessions:

Same with the campers, which says "2011" on the page:

And sponsors, though I think we just disable them, and I can do that:

James, did you make changes to the donation page already?

I think that's a good start. :)

What's the list of people who should be e-mailed? I'll remove everybody else.

I think the list has Gabe, Ashe, Kevin, and Matt... and I don't know that any of them are involved in organizing this year (or even last year.)

I'd suggest myself, you, James, Tim... and any of the Web414 guys who might want to be added.

Obviously, I am here. I may not end up attending, but I'm happy to administer back here.

I updated the list of people who are e-mailed by the contact form.

It looks like you guys already sessions and sponsors, but I fixed the image for DC414 which was broken.

It looks like campers is OK (but I might have done, I can't remember) but there was a problem with images again that I fixed.

Also, here's a "7" logo.

Here's a "7" logo.

Hey Pete! I'm going to start making these changes to on the Schoolfactory server. The old version on the Bucket Brigade server is offline. When you get a chance, please update all the DNS to point to When the change propagates, it'll be online again at the new server.

So far, SSL has been fixed. I'll get started on the other stuff in a moment.

Pete, I think you might have changed the DNS rather than the Just to make this clear, (and .com and the www's) should point to This is different than because each SSL cert needs it's own IP.

Crap! OK, what was the DNS for Web414 then?

OK, making changes for now.

DNS has propagated to me! Looks good, Pete! Also, the SSL seems to be in order now. :-)

Updated the logo and some of the stuff with users, but I haven't fully gotten my mind around how this was supposed to be set up.

More to come!

Oh crap... I "unpublished" almost all the sponsors/logos, but now they are back on the site... should I try again tomorrow?

Hrm. You must of "unpublished" them between when I setup the new site but before the DNS change came through. It shouldn't undo itself again.

Fixed it today... I'll try to get new sponsor logos in place as well.

We'll need to change what appears when you log in, which is this (wrong dates, etc.)

  • Login successful.
  • By just logging in you have registered for Barcamp Milwaukee 7! Congrats! Please update your info.

Day's Attending:

Sept 30 - Pre-Camp Setup/Party
Oct 1 - Saturday Sessions
Oct 2 - Sunday Sessions
Oct 2 - Tear-Down and Clean-up

Thanks for pointing that out! I only just started on converting stuff. I'll do more later in the week.

I changed these to dates around the upcoming date. Please check them and let me know if I got 'em right.

I'm here. If you need to tag me for Drupal stuff-- but rememember, i'm the dancing bear of Drupal devleopers.

Gabe, do you want to check the site for referenes to bcmke6 and 2011 and make those updates?

David, we need reset the session stuff... I don't know how to do that....

Hmmm, do we just unpublish all the sessions? That should work... I guess I'll give it a try.

That's ugly, but it works. :)

I can't look at the back end, but I would assume you could configure the view to include content only made within a  certain date range.

You may notice that I have assigned myself the task of reworking the copy on the site.

Quick Q: is Markdown enabled on the Barcamp Site. Can it be? @David? Is that your purview?

I added a "Markdown" input format, which you can now select on the node edit page.

Also, looks like I don't have admin privilages on the site anymore. Which is fine. I might not have had them ever, actually, now that i think about it.  Can I has me some admin? I want to move some blocks around a bit. And generally break things.

Also, we should reset the joules.

Try being an admin now...

(I hope we have backups!)

Now to make with the inapropriate!

Attempting Joules reset... it should take effect by Saturday or Sunday. (That's when they will expire... supposedly.)

Hey guys, I just want to let you know that I don't have time to work on this today, but I fully intend to get back to it later this week. If you just wanted to make a list of the things that need to be changed, I can probably just tackle them all at once, probably on Friday or Saturday. Or if heygabe goes to town on it maybe there won't be anything left to do by then. :-)

Another issue... Tried to upload a sponsor logo and got this:

warning: imagejpeg(): Unable to open 'sites/' for writing: Permission denied in /var/aegir/platforms/barcamp/sites/all/modules/imageapi/imageapi_gd.module on line 84.

I am putting this image on all my websites now.

This smells like something fixed with a judicious and foolhearty chmod.

Have I ever told you guys about how much drupal disapoints me?

Hey guys,

Not sure if you're already aware, but the Donate page on the site still lists Bucketworks as the fiscal sponsor, when it really should be changed to School Factory, Inc.

Donation checks should be made out to School Factory, Inc. and mailed to:

Attn: Meghan Koven

706 South 5th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53204

The school Factory also has PayPal capability:

We just beed to make sure the donor is referencing BarCamp7 or KidsCamp 2012 somewhere so we can separate & earmark the donation from the rest.

Thanks for your help on this!

The new donation page is all all kinds of about the School Factory now.

Since I can't figure out how to delete the PayPal Donation button from the [Donate]( Page. Could someone please let me know what is the best most correct donation email address to include on that page?

That PayPal donate button is done is a very *unique* way. I disabled the button and the module that was providing it. If we want to put a PayPal button in a page, I recommend using the "Full HTML" input filter and just pasting the code from PayPal. For now I see there is a link to the Schoolfactory.

This error is showing up, even to non-logged in users:

warning: mkdir(): File exists in /var/aegir/platforms/barcamp/sites/all/modules/imagecache/imagecache.module on line 601.

(But for now I disabled writing errors to the screen... they will only show up in the log.)

That'll show 'em, Drupal. Nice work.

Fixed this error.

I think I handled all the remaining issues listed here. If there is something else, please let me know!

Could we get a page for KidsCamp with a highly visible link from the front page? I'd like KidsCamp to be more noticable if possible. It would be extra cool if all sessions tagged kidscamp went to that page.

Scott, do you want to be an admin to muck with the page?

Yes, please. Many thanks!

Did anyone ever receive a logo from my employer, Safe Bridge Solutions? They sent funds for KidsCamp.

Scott, I haven't see one come across my email... can you send it to and include a link and a paragraph describing what you do?

Once again people are having trouble registering...

If any admins want to try with new/dummy accounts, please do.

Here is one report I got:

"It won't let me register as the username and/or email are both being used. and won't send me a new password because neither the email or username is recognized."

Woop Woop!

Are all new users being blocked??

Ahhh, how do we undo this?

"Lock down site until next year"

And this doesn't work...
