Bucketworks as community library?

Bucketworks as community library?

Take a look at the READ/WRITE LIBRARY, in Chicago.

I'm inspired by the description: "an open source platform that other cities can adopt to discover and preserve their shared cultural memory, neighborhood by neighborhood."

How could Bucketworks learn from this idea? Could we adapt Bucketworks to serve this function in the Walker's Point neighborhood? Even the entire city? What if we started with the neighborhoods that are involved in the LISC/Zilber initiative?

If we did, what would that look like?

Take a look at their catalog for some ideas of what we could put in a Milwaukee Read / Write Library.

What do you think? Do you have any locally sourced material that you could contribute to such a program?
