Are we required to have a building inspection? When would we need it, and how much do they need to inspect?
It sounds like it's in our best interest to have an inspection before we sign a lease, or at least make passing an inspection a rider on the lease and get it done before we move in. Whatever lawyer we use will likely know a reputable inspector.
This needs to be done -after- the split of the electricity from the landlord, as per Shawn. Assigning to you Tim until the lawyer gets us the requirements.
So sequence of events is: Split Electricity > Inspection > Sign Lease
Are there any other dependancies to signing the lease?
We are pretty sure we are going to move PS:1 to a new space. What...what have we done. This is a place to organize and most importantly try to make sure things get done when they need to get done.
